19TH AUGUST 2006 - A Special Announcement (some sad news)
With deep regret we have to announce the closure of Dawn's two stations, Rainbow & Telstar South. We hope Dawn will be well enough in the future to return to the music that she loves so dearly. Dawn wishes to thank you all very much for your continued support and loyalty, and especially wants to thank Keith in Scotland,Ken, Erik in Belgium, Chris in New Zealand(who has relayed Dawns stations on Worldfm in NZ), Howard,Peter in Holland,Paul,Sappie Lingsma at Lingsma-Tienstra Promotions NL Roger,Cliveb,Dave & the crew at the college (Dawn thanks you for all the song ideas which have been so much appreciated at Telstar South, John from TNR,Ash from Brisbane (internet fm) & all the Live365 broadcasters who have been such a help over the months, not forgetting Bob(Bamman) and JT from the Live365 staff.Also the many artists who have contacted Dawn and whose music Dawn has happily included, especially Andy Martin in Germany, Dave Stephens in Canada, Jon Parrot in the USA,Vince Falzone in the USA,The Mod-est Lads,Nick Barnes, and a host of others who have been so much a part of Rainbow especially.The support has been fantastic and Dawn has really appreciated you being there. Dawn feels that unless someone is able to refresh the playlists on a very regular basis which she always did until becoming unwell, it is in Rainbow and Telstars best interest for the stations to take a break rather than the music become stale and people drift away. She hopes so much to be able to return when she is well. I am sure I've missed out some important name checks so when Dawn is up to it I will ask her to revise this message and hopefully write one of her own.This could be a while though, so meanwhile apologies to anyone I've missed out & also Thank You to the many listeners all around the World who have listened in but not made themselves known - you are equally appreciated. Dawn thanks you for being there.Meanwhile we wish Dawn a very speedy return to good health. You're sadly missed Dawn. Get well very soon and allow us the privilege of sharing your excellent music.
